Solar · Wind · Battery

Solar generation is the UK’s most common and well-known type of sustainable energy. With rising energy prices and ongoing uncertainty, solar provides businesses with the opportunity to generate their own green energy. Minimising their reliance on the grid, lowering energy costs and reducing their carbon footprint.

Energy generated by wind turbines produce zero carbon emissions. Wind energy is a powerful option in the journey to net-zero.

Battery storage works hand in hand with solar and wind generation allowing businesses to capture surplus electricity and store it for later use. Battery also allows businesses to load shift by taking advantage of the difference between peak and off-peak energy rates. Storing energy that has been generated during the cheaper off-peak (night) or generated by wind or solar. You can then use the stored energy during the typically more expensive peak times (day).

When working with you on these projects alongside our trusted partners, we would take the following steps to recommend the most suitable sustainable technology for your business:

  • Understanding your business. We would firstly take the time to build an accurate picture of your business operation, you energy usage and your long term plans.
  • Invoice analysis. We would require a copy of a recent electricity invoice as well as 12 months’ worth of half-hourly data. We can request this information from your supplier with your permission.
  • Location. If your operation is considered suitable, the next step is to review the location, operating hours, usable space and identifying any restrictions.
  • Sustainable technologies. Once your operation and space are understood, we can recommend suitable renewable technologies.
  • Quotation subject to site survey. We would build and present our proposal to you showing you various payment options including CapEx and asset finance along with ROI. In some circumstances, a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) may be available, which allows businesses to obtain sustainable technology with no upfront costs.
  • Site survey and DNO applications. If you wanted to proceed, we would complete a final site survey to fill in the blanks on any unanswered questions and then all being well we would make the relevant application to the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to begin the project.
